I Wanna Know You {Linky Party}

"Who you are and what you do, should be one in the same."
- Jacy Pulford {artbjacy.com}

It's here! It's here! I am finally back in action, ya'll, woot...

These last couple of months I took time out from blogging and social media. It was hard, guys, not gonna lie. I went an entire 30 days without posting a blog post or updating a Facebook status! What?! It was like a time warp...but felt awesome. I am thinking of writing an ebook about what I went through and what I learned. Would you be interested in that??

During that time, I worked on writing better content because I wanted more heart and passion in this little blog space. And can I confess, there are SO many great posts on the way!

To kick off the new ABJ {Art By Jacy} I'm having an epic linky party this week. All week long {until Friday}, link up your shop or blog so that I can get to know you. Why? Well, why not! If you've been hanging around here or even just passing through, I want to know who you are. Knowing my readers is very important to me and I've realized that I did not take that much time before to do so.

But before you link up below, I wanted to give you a glimpse inside of my world {gulp!} Ready?

I am the oldest of four. Yup, I'm that big sister who is over-protective yet ridiculously corny. After me, there's Leani {above in the purple with our suave daddy} and then the amazing twins Nikko {who I'm taking a bite of} and Melina {who joined my silliness in the first pic.} I love being a big sis!

My other loves are my handsome husband Jonathan and our little baby boy David. He can be just as silly as his momma! Besides hanging out with family, I love to be creative {who would have guessed!} I run an online art shop and also have written a book about emotional purity, a passion very close to my heart. Jesus is my God and Saviour. I do not hide it. I love sharing my faith because without God, nothing matters.

My goal for ABJ is to share what is on my heart through my writing and artwork, hopefully inspiring and uplifting your heart through the process.

Your turn, yay!! Who are you? What do you do? I wanna know!
Before you linkup, there are a couple of guidelines...please read...
- You don't have to be an ABJ follower to linkup but it would be appreciated! {go to sidebar for details}
- What you can share: a direct link to your blog or shop. It must be run/owned by you.
- What NOT to share: links to specific items in your shop, linky parties, giveaways, recipes or specific posts.
- Grab a button and share...the more the merrier :)

Baby Brag Post {Photos}

Okay, I suck.
I'm like the worst blogger in history (comment if you agree! um just kidding, don't)...I don't write often, when I do, I try too hard...just super lame. So I'm re-committing myself. I know what you're thinking, that's I'm insane considering I have a new baby in the house.

Which is WHY I NEED to blog!!!
I'm home alone and I need an outlet. Mothers need to stay connected to the outside world, or they go nutso...since I'm already naturally nutso, I need to stay connected even more.

I'm working on a SUPER BIG SUMMER GIVEAWAY but since the details are still being ironed out, I'm going to now plaster the snot out of this post with photos of my beloved baby...aka Wiggles...aka the reason why I've been too busy to write...

Oh but when I see this smile, I kinda don't mind!! :)

Dishes, Laundry, Chores, Oh My!

Okay, truth.
I used to be a seriously type A clean freak...I mean for realz. I would actually hang up clothes and put them away! Crazy right?! Lately though, I've been a totally different person...basically a pig in a skirt.
As I look around I can't help but wonder how did I get like this? and when?

I cannot even use my lil' newborn muffin as an excuse. It started five years ago when I got my own place. Yup, that's the when...when I realized it was MY place...when I realized I made the rules...and when I realized I could put my stuff ANYWHERE and answer to NOBODY!

A year or two went by like this...until I got married.
Oh my. Now I had someone who would hold ME accountable...and I failed and am still failing. Don't get me wrong; I just learned to use the dishwasher and can keep up with dishes. Of course they wait a couple days before I notice they need washing. Also laundry gets washed...I just don't put clothes away until three days later.

I need an intervention, much like they do on How I Met Your Mother. Only less cooler. Actually, it seems like every time I get into the groove of cleaning and finally feel a bit like my old OCD self, something happens. I guess that's life. There is a balance. The old me wasn't healthy and neither is the present me. It's two extremes. What I do feel now, I wouldn't trade for anything! Peace. Contentment. Things I had a hard time feeling before, when I was mentally wired by my task list.
I have work to do within myself and I will get to a happy medium. For now, I'm enjoying the freedom I feel from not going insane about the bathroom cleaning schedule (btw, when did I clean that last?)

Now if I could just step away from my laptop long enough to make lunch...
Pinterest makes me hungry...

{JJ&M} journaling series: Let it go...and laugh!

{entries are edited to protect names & identities}
10/04/07

Thank you Jesus for another day. I am so thankful and hopeful, at least lately. I know I am blessed to have a relationship with the Lord and that He has given me things in my life that are meant to help me grow as a person and a Christian.
Jonathan is an awesome person, friend and companion. I know our friendship and relationship is a gift from God. We need each other and we love each other. I am so happy to have someone that really cares for me, and takes care of me. I know I'm a pain sometimes and I'm so gracious that Jonathan puts up with my antics or whining. I love him so much and every day it grows. It's going to be amazing when we hit those milestones that couple's have. I am so excited for those!
I need to stop worrying about if we are going to last or not because my gut feeling says yes, but my mind is messing me up. The only One who knows is the Lord, Jesus Christ. And I have confidence in my God and that He will do great things for us, as long as we serve Him.

I am closer to God right now then I ever have been. It's been a good four days that I have felt His presence and I am starting to understand things more, and not be so serious. Of course, there are some things we need to be serious about, but I need to just let it go sometimes, and laugh. I can't forget to do that and have fun!
