Etsy Seller Feature: Jessica Durrant

I am so excited to bring you this latest blog feature. You know those moments when you come across someone's work and you immediately feel a personal connection with it and the artist?

Meet Jessica Durrant, an illustrator whose love for fashion and form captivated my attention and brought me to introduce her today. I love how Jessica's work has distinct lines and splash of color. I used to study fashion in Boston and have a little obsession with drawing girls and clothes. Jessica's illustrations takes a step further and incorporates a level of sophistication and classy style.

Jessica found out about Etsy through a feature in Lucky Magazine. Soon, she started selling what she created in her spare time and found joy when her creations started selling. The Etsy-bug was caught and Jessica was soon getting custom orders, freelance jobs, designing evites for pingg.com and was even being contacted by agents!
Her head spinning, Jessica has been amazed by the entire Etsy experience.

"It went from being something I was timid to even to try, to something that became a real amazing experience," Jessica says. "I have certainly made mistakes along the way, and am always learning and trying to improve. Etsy has changed my life, and I am so grateful for that. Every time I go to the post office to ship work, I am giddy because I am doing what I have wanted to do ever since I was a kid."

When I meet people like Jessica, I get re-inspired about my work and hearing a story like hers gives me hope for success. Please help me in supporting Jessica by checking out her magnificent and stylish Etsy Shop by clicking here or on any picture in this feature! She would be happy to answer any questions you have, no matter how random, that come her way. Jessica is a prime example that hard work does pay off...

"I would encourage anyone who has a great talent in the handmade/artisan world to give Etsy a shot. It can inspire you to do your greatest work."
