JCLU Forever T-Shirt Review: Hate the Sin, Love the Sinner

I love this tag that was attached to the shirt.
Love the line:
"Made by girls who love Jesus for girls who love Jesus"
Epic!!

Okay. Some days are great and others are just, well, more swell! Today was one of those more swell ones...when I opened the mailbox and behold:
My first-ever, brand new t-shirt from JCLU Forever!!! Yeah!

I literally ripped open the package in the garage haha I couldn't wait to see it.
Then I walked in the door, threw my stuff on the table, let the dog out of her crate (she cannot be trusted alone in the house!) and went upstairs to try it on!
It's truly a-m-a-z-i-n-g :)

"JCLU FOREVER" stands for "Jesus Christ Loves U Forever"
Isn't that so awesome?!

I'm such a dork-nut (as my husband would say in a cute/teasing way)
See my modeling skills? Yeah, I don't either...but the shirt looks good!
The first thing I noticed was that I bought a medium but it still looked small. So FYI, get the next size up from the norm. It's really no biggie...the fabric is a very soft mixed blend, nice grey tone and nicely fitted.

Awww...even Jackie's got my back! She saw mommy getting excited so of course she went nutso.
I had to wear this while we went for our daily walk. Felt so cool wearing it, shining God's light with this message of love. Amen!

This was after our walk...she was too tired to show some lovin', so I helped :)

This shirt came at the perfect time. I've been having the saying "hate the sin, love the sinner" in my mind for over a year now. It's something that has stirred up in my heart.
In our midweek service last night, Bro Sims preached a message from Luke 15. In the chapter, Jesus was speaking and all the publicans and sinners drew near to hear him.
The Pharisees and scribes (the "self-righteous") started murmuring...

"Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them."

The self-righteous ones started judging Jesus for allowing sinners to hear His words! Jesus, of course, knew what they murmured about...and He replied with this beautiful parable:

"And he spake this parable unto them, saying, What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?  And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Luke 15:1-10

Jesus was saying, "Look! If you were a shepherd and lost a sheep, wouldn't you go find it? And when you found it, wouldn't you be joyful?" He was comparing us to sheep, His flock (Psalm 100:3)

What's more is the shepherd in the parable didn't make the sheep walk back home on his own...the shepherd carried him on his shoulder!!

In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

The Great Shepherd wants sinners to come to repentance and rest in His arms!!

Jesus also wanted to point out that if we think that we are MORE righteous and above other people, that His heart rejoices MORE over one sinner who repents and admits to needing a Savior, than a self-righteous person who believes to be except from repentance, and acts like the savior.

What a powerful and humbling message!!

I love this store and the messages on their tees. Check them out, seriously...we need to shine the light in the darkness, to help the lost sheep find the Shepherd!! <3

  1. I also hate when a company doesn't ship the things I ordered and then won't respond. Would taking people's money and not giving them what they paid for fall under stealing? I'm sure there is a commandment about that if I remember correctly.
