Inspirational Sunday: God's Love

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38-39

Today I want to speak about a theme that the Lord has put in my heart for my library bible studies that I have been giving in town. God's love.
Jesus showed me that since the beginning of time, Genesis, He made the conscience decision to separate the light from the dark:

"And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness."
Genesis 1:3-4

God is our only light source towards full understanding and knowledge of who He is.
Here is what the Lord showed me:

GOD'S MAIN PURPOSE: TO BE KNOWN
MAN'S MAIN PURPOSE: TO KNOW HIM
FOUNDATIONAL PURPOSE: TO KNOW LOVE

Without going to God for that light source to understand who He really is, we can never appreciate how much He loves us. The love that God has for us is way different than the love that we know from this world.
There is a separation. Read this list and pray, asking Jesus to reveal to you who He is:

- God's love is eternal
- God's love is not selfish
- God's love is unconditional
- God's love is pure
- God's love is life
- God's love is unchangeable
- God's love is divine
- God's love is truth

God became a man, Jesus, to die for our sins:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us"
John 1:14

But how can God become a man when He is, well, God? And how can God still be God AND man?
The same way that God can appear to you and I in two different places at the same time.
He never loses anything; God's power is a never ending flow.
We seem to limit God's abilities because we compare Him with our own understanding.
But this is what the Word says:

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
Isaiah 9:6

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
1 Timothy 3:16

God is not bound by time or by our own thoughts and ways. Limiting God is not trusting that He has all power. If His main purpose is to be known, He will do everything He can to reveal Himself to His children, including dwelling among them:

"But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."
Matthew 19:26

"(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were."
Romans 4:17

The same way that I can be a daughter, wife and sister is the same way God can be the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. Having three titles and three roles doesn't mean there are three beings.
I am a daughter, wife and sister but I am still one. I am Jacy.
That is God's system.

He can be the Father AND the Son AND the Holy Ghost.
But he has only ONE Name: Jesus

What is the ultimate act of love? Self-sacrifice!
If you wanted to save your children or loved one from death, would you send another child in their place? Or would you do everything you can to be that sacrifice for that child?

That is true love.

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." 1 John 4:18

Paying the price for us is the ultimate act of love.
Today, I pray that you will ask God for a true revelation of who He is. He may have done some amazing things in your life and has opened your eyes to a lot.
But we should never limit what God wants us to know and we must not let fear hold us back from our main purpose:
To Know Him!

"Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me."
Isaiah 49:16
