DIY Inspiration: A Rustic Vintage Wedding

As spring is upon us, nothing screams "yay!" more than a beautiful outdoor wedding. The fresh air and natural elements make for the perfect backdrop to tie the knot. The weekend before Easter, my husband's cousin was married to the love of her life at a lodge that sat lakeside in the midst of a wooded oasis. We were privileged to be the photographers that day. It was so peaceful to step into a country setting in the middle of busy New England. Here are some amazing highlights from the couple's rustic vintage inspired wedding...

A captivating moment of the groom praying with his bride before the ceremony, without seeing her.

Spending the day with this awesome couple was a blessing to us. Everyone could feel the joy pulsating out of their hearts and their faces were full of happiness. These two are true overcomers; they each have a story of how they were led to God's beautiful grace and mercy. Now they rejoice together, victorious over life's toughest battles and starting a fresh new adventure. Steve and Kelly, we wish all of God's blessings on your marriage and family. You are inspiring. We love you guys!!

Virginia.

Beautiful nature. Quality family time. Heartfelt memories, conversations and fellowship. All of this in one Labor Day weekend trip to Virginia to visit my sister-in-law, brother-in-law, niece and nephews (including a new little guy!) The days were packed with sunshine, playing pool, newborn nephew snuggling, silly giggles, my first Chick-fil-a experience (I want them to adopt me) and complete relaxation.

I'm sharing with you photos of our hiking trip from Saturday. Man, the fresh Virginia air does wonders to the soul...

Side note: there is nothing hotter than a man wearing a baby, am I right ladies?
How was your Labor Day weekend?
